Mango Weizen is our refreshing summer seasonal fermented with real mango fruit. The mango is subtle and not overly fruity because there’s not artificial flavor added. Inspired by the Indian mango lassi, it can help put out the fire of a spicy curry, or be the perfect accompaniment to a summer barbecue.

Mango Weizen renewed my interest in hefeweizen beers. I typically don’t like mango in any form, but a combination with a wheat beer makes for a really soft, subtle experience. No strong notes or aromas, just a less grainy flavor with a sweet taste on the edges. Could use more carbonation to spice up the flavors, but it is a really good non-sweet fruit beer. Goes very well with asian dishes or a hot day.

Surprisingly good, and very refreshing.
Give it a whiff, and the mango scent definitely comes at you fairly strongly, but in terms of flavor, it more works as a subtle sweetener. This in turn makes for a very drinkable beer, particularly as it’s getting warmer. The Mango Weizen can definitely be enjoyed by both newcomers and seasoned beer veterans alike.
- Characteristics: refreshing smooth sweet
