A beer cloaked in secrecy. An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers.

A sort of dry, crisp, fruity, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there’s never been anything else quite like it. Our secret ingredient introduces a most unusual aroma which is balanced with residual sweetness.

Smooth, Sweet, Fruity, Crisp, Apricots

Who woulda though apricot in beer would be tasty? If you haven’t tried this beer, don’t let that discourage you; this is one tasty beer.

Probably one of my favorite beers ever. I’ve only found it on the east coast, but it’s great on a warm summer day out of a tap. A little bit fruity, really smooth, and just a great all around taste. Love it.

Magic Hat also sponsors some great music, so this beer usually goes right alongside great events as well. Making it all the better.

This is a great beer, and in my experience a little hard to find. As a result, I usually always end up ordering a pint. It’s fruitiness adds a really nice touch rather than overpowering with sweetness. It’s also an incredibly satisfyingly smooth beer to swallow.

Has become my go-to beer. As others have pointed out.. it’s got a bit of a fruity bite to it, which makes it stand out. I’ve seen it all over Virginia, but can be difficult to find farther South. If you see bronze #9 dancing above a tap, give it a go.

I’ll admit, when my buddy Adam told me this had a nutty flavor to it and had hints of apricot I was very skeptical. Light beers are not on my ‘first to order’ queue, but #9 quickly impressed sip after sip. Perfectly resides in the middle of “light enough for a Summer cookout” and “tasty enough to get your attention”.

This has recently become my staple beer. The apricot overtones and not quite pale ale flavor profiles make for a really unoffensive and pleasing drink to even beer novices. Not a lot of complexity, but a straight-ahead light-bodied good cold drink.

Good persistent head. Yeasty aroma with overtones of stomach acid. Not really a pleasant smell.

The taste, however, redeems. It is light with a nice carbonation. Good aftertaste.

Had this beer on draft. It was a VERY strange mixture of flavors at first. Was told that the keg was just tapped minutes ago. Second glass was much better. I’ve never had a beer that changed flavors or aromas so often. Still don’t know what to make of this beer. I think everyone should drink one pint purely based on the strange flavors and complexity.
