This signature beer from Rogue is good, but definitely not my favorite. That said, it’s a solid refreshing ale.

I liked this beer quite a bit more than I thought I would. (No idea actually why I thought I wouldn’t like it). Anyway, it was pretty delicious! Pours caramel amber with a medium body. Aroma is malty, grainy, nutty and pleasant. Flavor is much of the same, with a mild hoppiness. The whole beer is much richer than I anticipated. I eagerly refilled my glass.

A great beer that I always drink out of the bottle. It’s got a malty, rich, flavor. Fizzes quite a bit on the tongue. Thicker than some ales, but still refreshing.

I bought this becuase I liked the bottle. The beer was OK but not so good that I have re-purchased it. In fact the bottle design left a greater impression on me than the beer.

Love the name. Love the bottle. Like the beer. Doesn’t quite live up to the hype but all in all a very good ale that I will definitely buy again. Very refreshing.

This is a good beer, it doesn’t really stand out other than coming close to making everyone somewhat happy. It’s not going to knock your socks off, but it’s a great beer to show up with at a part because it’s not terribly well-known, but still very tasty.

I’m not quite sure whether it’s an ale or a bock, but either way it’s quite an interesting beer that deserves some love. Toasty and caramel flavors dominate, with just enough hops to balance the sweetness.

This beer doesn’t stand out for me when among the line-up of other great Rogue beers. Probably the most well known, though. A good beer, no doubt, but Rogue produces so many great beers. This one is golden to copper, sweet and malty, with just enough hops to balance.

Last time we had this beer, it was in a keg form, great stuff. Nothing unique though compared to any other Rogue beer, but it did put one guy face down in the sink for the night.

One of the first beers I fell in love with. An always reliably delicious bock though not as interesting as other beers like Korbinian Doppelbock (which comes highly recommended if you like Dead Guy). This beer works well as a session beer, especially in colder climates. The taste is nutty and sweet with caramel overtones though the real dominant flavor is pure and simple malts. Rogue does indeed make many more flavorful and interesting beers but in no way does that truly discredit Dead Guy which does what it does well, though not it’s certainly not the best in its variety.

Honestly this is one of my favorite beers of all time. I do not just give out 97’s. I was lucky enough to have it at the actual brewery in Belguim. Worth the trip! If you live in Denver, it is served from the Tap at Falling Rock. GO NOW!

I love Dead Guy, it has just enough complexity to stay interesting but it’s drinkable enough to get through a few without a struggle.
I’m usually forced to drink it from bottles but I order it without question when it’s on tap.

A great Halloween beer, well, cuz of the Day of the Dead and all that stuff.
Seriously, Rogue makes great beer and this is the flagship. I actually made a homebrew clone of this that remains, perhaps, the best homebrew I’ve ever made.
Price hike recently makes it less likely for me to buy now (last seen for $14 for a six pack), but this is a really good beer. Hoppy, sweet, and malty. The nose is a combination of honey and hops.
