I picked up a 22oz bomber of this at Belmont Station in Portland OR. It made the journey safely in my luggage back to Chicago. I picked this is up becuase it was a Double IPA and a beer named after a dinosaur how cool is that.

The Tricerahops pours a golden dark amber color with a one finger white head. When you drink it you get that great hops bite and its still very refreshing. There is a decent amount of fruit that comes trough with the grapefruit and the orange. Overall a very drinkable beer especially at this higher ABV.

This was the first Ninkasi Brewing I’ve had and I will definitely be picking up this Double IPA and something else from Ninkasi the next time I am out in Oregon.

Pours golden orange and hazy. Aroma is the wonderful smell of resinous and piney hops and is very pungent. Flavor is hoppy, of course, with malty and caramel tones coming through ever so slightly. This beer is all about the hops — they’re front and center and coat your tongue with their oily bitterness. This beer leaves a slight bitter aftertaste. Overall a great IIPA that doesn’t go overkill on the malts.

All about the hops at 100+ IBU’s. If you like IPA you will love this. My favorite part is the finish, such a nice hop flavor!

This may be the best IPA I’ve ever had and that’s saying a lot. A green hop flavor with a strong, bready malt. Also with some sweet, citrusy overtones. Long aftertaste with tons of complexity. This is what beer should taste like.
