A light refreshing summer beer in the spirit of Corona.

With the weather warming up, it gets me in the mood for summer. It does remind me of Corona though… but it’s better than Corona! ha ha

Hello. I’m Donna, and I’m a Parrothead. I’m not anonymous. Heck, I love everything Jimmy Buffett, and I’ll shout it to the world. Until now.

May was Burger Month, so I celebrated one night by grilling cheeseburgers for the family, and to further let loose, I poured myself a Landshark Lager. I’d been eyeing them for awhile, but I’d not tried them because I’m not usually a lager fan. But this is Jimmy Buffett lager! It’s from Margaritaville! I eyed that cold bottle of Landshark with great anticipation.

The pour was, well … it was just like a lager: sort of straw colored, typical lager head, typical lager aroma. But Bubba wouldn’t steer me wrong. The flavor must be unique, one-of-a-kind, full of vigor, just like my favorite pirate.

I sipped … ahh … ewww! It tastes like Bud Light! And no wonder. It’s brewed by Anheuser-Busch. They only license the Margaritaville name. I’m sorry. I’ve tried to like Bud, but I just can’t. It’s just not the beer for me. And neither is Landshark.

Oh, Bubba, you have steered me wrong. This ain’t paradise, and there’s no woman to blame. Please tell me you aren’t to blame either.

very similar to Corona, but a little more carbonated & skunkier. A bit overhyped due to the celebrity attachment. Lime doesn’t lend this beer as much help as it does Corona.

    Characteristics: light skunky
