A good ale and a solid choice whenever you’re stuck choosing between beers. Simple, sweet dark malt flavor, a bit chocolaty, and with notes that remind me of whiskey. One I’d quite easily drink again.

    Comment:

I’ve never been disappointed by Robert the Bruce, and I’ve had the good fortune of enjoying it in three forms.

The Bottle: This brew makes a great addition to a gathering of friends. The odds that someone will bring something to compete are low. It is a smooth beer that has a nice smooth taste.

The Tap: I would argue this is the best way to meet Robert for the first time. The straightforward nature of the beer, and the aromas that you are able to gain from having it in a pint glass make this a great choice on any evening.

The Cask: Cask-conditioned Bruce has a bit more of a bite. The malty tastes are enhanced and, as though it was even possible, becomes an even smoother beer.
