Hoppier, maltier and with more alcohol than a standard IPA, Hercules Double IPA definitely is not for the faint of heart. Hercules Double IPA is, however, an elixir fit for the gods. A brash but creamy wonder, Hercules pours a deep orange-coppery color, forming substantial lace in the glass. Hercules Double IPA delivers a huge amount of piney, floral, and citrusy hop aroma and flavor from start to finish. A hefty backbone of nutty, toffee-like malt character balances Hercules’ aggressive, punchy hop profile.

If you like a ton of hops in your IPA this is the beer for you. Probably one of my favorite beers out there, adding in the 9 plus alchohol makes it even more powerful, great beer.

Was one of the best IPA’s I’ve ever drank. Hoppy, yet still smooth, almost creamy. Hints of caramel and vanilla were in it too. Delcious.

This is one of the strongest and smoothest IPAs I’ve tasted. The malt smoothes it out, without deterring from the yummy hoppiness. Smells of grapefruit, tastes bittersweet. I didn’t know I could get this kind of flavor in a double IPA. It’s very attractive, retains the head well, begs to be enjoyed.

A really well-balanced beer that, honestly, I’d probably order over a Pliny. Hops galore, with a sweetness that goes a long way toward making this more drinkable than your typical double IPA.

There’s only one thing better than a good IPA and that’s an awesome double IPA - hops galore - if only it was easier to find in the UK.

A very hoppy beer, with more than just hop going for it. Hints of grapefruit and caramel make this more than just a great bitter beer.
- Characteristics: bitter complex hoppy

A great double IPA from Great Divide Brewing.
Cloudy, golden brown color with creamy medium head. Great aroma - malty and hoppy. The flavor starts out warm and sweet, then the hops really kick in. Nice, lingering finish. Some beers have high alcohol for the sake of high alcohol, some have a lot of hops for the sake of hops, but you can tell a lot of thought went into this beer.
