This is our unique version of an ancient style. A style as old as the ocean trade routes of the last centuries Great Ships. Not as old as the equator they had to cross twice en route, nor as old as the 10,000 or so miles of Di-Hydrogen Oxide and Sodium upon which they sailed, but older than the Circulithium-4 Lentloid that binds the Lupulin Quartnate onto your taste buds. Weird. Think about it. Now stop. OK, go again, now stop. Think again, and stop. But we digress. Made with 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this redolent ale will likely float your boat, whatever planet you’re on.

Not too high on my IPA list, but tasty none-the-less. Perhaps a bit too malty and citrusy for me, and not bitter enough.

Pours a nice deep copper with a nice tan head. Has a nice smooth caramel malt flavor balanced nicely with a decent hop bite, a bit more bitter than I’d expected.

A truly solid IPA, probably my favorite at the moment. Bitter, but not overly. You can almost taste a bit of fruit.

Theeeeee session IPA. Lagunitas brings a well-crafted beer recipe that will last. Uncomplicated and SOLID. Other brewers should take notes for their base model IPA. Moderate bitterness, moderate malt balance without being sweet. Slightly chewy, but finishes clean. Like the old Chevy trucks of IPA’s. Not the prettiest, but always dependable.

For a long time, this was my staple IPA. Well balanced, the hops are obvious but do not overpower, and makes it accessible. This was my first step up from the Sierra Nevada stage and thus still holds a special place in my heart.

    Comment:

This is a great IPA. If you like hops, and IPAs, you need to try this beer. It’s a little less hoppy then some IPAs, but still VERY hoppy compared to most beers on the market. It’s delicious! At only 5.7% ABV, this is a great bitter, hoppy beer that you can actually drink more than one of!

    Characteristics: bitter hoppy
