Our ESB combines the best of English tradition with West Coast style. A blend of malts featuring British-grown Maris Otter is balanced with the earthy spiciness of hand-selected English and US hops. The ale is left unfiltered, which enhances mouthfeel and hop aroma creating a slightly reddish-copper hue.

Smooth, Refreshing, Crisp, Clean, Hoppy

Solid brew. Assuming this is the 2009 ESB. Has a very balanced flavor that is noticeably present.

    Comment:

A rich honey-red color. Full of a slightly toasted malt flavor with a nice balance of hops behind it. Not really bitter at all, especially for an ESB but very smooth and enjoyable.

    Comment:

Really fantastic crisp spring beer with mild hops and a very clean finish. Reminded me of an Anchor Liberty Ale but a fair bit milder. This would actually be my ideal summer beer, more to it then a ‘light’ beer while still being really refreshing.

Went great with fried chicken, I wouldn’t pair it with anything wore overbearing though. Would be perfect with a vegetable dish or a salad.

Characteristics: clean crisp light hops refreshing

This was a perfect seasonal beer, and stand by when drinking on a cold crisp spring night.
