Pours (out of the nitro can) to a nice rich black with a thick foamy tan head. This is tasty, almost like chocolate milk. Very chocolaty, but not too sweet, with a nice, smooth texture. It’s very rich, but also fairly drinkable. Good stuff!

This is like drinking a chocolate coke with a kick. Rich and creamy. I can see making a beer float with a scoop of vanilla gelato.

I almost find it more malty than chocolate, but it does have both. A bit too sweet for my tastes, but hello, beer floats.

Two scoops vanilla ice cream, a dash of a berry liqueur (amaretto, blackberry schnapps, etc.), and top it up with some Young’s. Hell of a way to kick off a 4th of July party.

Really nice creamy taste, I seem to remember it resembling coffe and chocolate cake all at the same time. A bit sweet and potentially overpowering, but a bottle now and then is a nice experience.

This is a rich, chocolaty, and smooth stout. Serve it just below room temperature to get the full sweetness. Pair it with a nice side companion of Lindeman’s Framboise Lambic for a nice treat.

This one is a big winner in my book. It is chocolaty, but not real sweet. It’s complex enough to be interesting, but smooth enough to drink by itself.

I tried this out sometime last year, and it’s really nice - the chocolaty taste is a bit unusual for a beer, but it seems to work. This was smooth and easy to drink, and it made me wonder if the other beers (that I haven’t tried yet) by Young’s were just as good. I won’t be trying the banana bread beer (I don’t like bananas) - but I’ll certainly have this one again sometime.

Update: I also won’t be trying the honey-flavoured ‘Waggle Dance’ either…(honey, in beer, ergh - sick!)

You can taste the maltiness in the beer but the chocolate flavor is there. I found this beer very enjoyable as a before dinner conversation drink.

Pours out a nice dark chocolate color. Bit of a burnt after taste, but still relatively good. A nice dessert beer that would have been better with a nice bar of dark chocolate.

Pours dark brown with a decent head. Aroma is coffee-like with chocolate hints. The taste is toasty and chocolaty.

An ok chocolate stout, but I have to say I prefer the American-brewed chocolate stouts over the UK varieties.

It’s like drinking chocolate milk with an alcohol kick. Thinner than choco milk but the same characteristics—dark rich, smooth. Chocolate decadence. What more can you ask for in a beer? One of the best beers I’ve ever had! Could drink it everyday.

    Definitely a favorite.

The stout pours a jet black color, with scents of malts and, of course, chocolate.

This carries over to the flavor, with the addition of a hint of coffee. The body is creamy and lightly carbonated.

I’d compare it to a Guinness, just sweeter and more chocolate-y.

    Characteristics: caramel chocolate coffee malty
