Brewed by Sigtuna Brygghus together with the Stockholm Pun Man in the Moon, Månens 099 Barley Wine is a Barleywine that had a second fermentation with champagne yeast and then spent a couple of weeks on barrel 99 from the whiskey distillery Mackmyra. Only 65 bottles were made, making this a so far very exclusive beer not many ever got the oppurtunity to try.

- Comment:
Served at room temperature it pours a clear, thick red liquid with a thin white head. The aroma is very strong with a sour mix between wet wood and a smokey whiskey. The taste is sharp, sour and bitter with traces of oak, smoke and dark fruits or raisins. The aftertaste is extreme and seems to be building up to a crescendo rather than slowly dieing off.
With the taste, the exclusivity and the ABV it makes for a extreme beer that isn’t for everyone.
- Characteristics: oaky smokey strong
