From Schneider-Weisse: Dark-ruby, almost black-colored and streaked with fine top-fermenting yeast, this beer has a compact and persistent head. This is a very intense wheat doppelbock with a complex spicy chocolate-like arome with a hint of banana and raisins. On the palate, you experience a soft touch and on the tongue it is very rich and complex, though fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes in a rich soft and lightly bitter impression.

This Wheat-Dopplebock pours to a nice ruby brown with a thick foamy tan head. It’s got a really nice taste, like spiced bananas mixed with dark bread, maybe a bit of chocolate or caramel, but not too sweet. It feels fairly light for how strong it is, has a bit of carbonation, but not too much. Overall a very good dark wheat beer. Recommended!

This is one of my favorite beers. I really like this style. I’m surprised the west coast loves it’s Pale Ales / IPAs and doesn’t brew more beers like this. This is dark, smooth, and has a good kick. Perfect for foggy nights on the coast.

So good. Reminds me of Corsendonks Abbey Brown. The deep brown color and chocolaty raisin undertones make me want to take a bath in it.
