The dark beer specialty is brewed according to an age-old recipe. Its spicy flavor also results from the increased proportion (about 13%) of original wort. Nonetheless, at 5.6%, it doesn’t contain much more alcohol than Erdinger Weissbier ‘with fine yeast’.

Like all Erdinger wheat beers, this dark variety also acquires its typical flavor from maturing in the bottle. Years of brewing experience coupled with state-of-the-art technology guarantee its excellent quality.

Just had this for the first time, I really like it! This is also the first Dark Wheat beer I’ve ever had…and I’m very impressed!

Good flavours, smooth and very drinkable. If I see it in the shops again then I’ll strongly consider buying it.

The best dunkel in my opinion. I find this beer to be perfectly balanced and thoroughly enjoyable. But I can only ever drink one, because it’s so damn filling.

One of my preferred wheat beers. Very complex flavor and a great sipping beer. Wish that it was a little less carbonated, as I find the carbonation is the reason for the beer being so filling.

    Characteristics: bitter carbonated spicy
