Urquell means “original source”, meant to describe the Original Pilsner. Golden, honey in color with a soft hoppy nose.
Sparkling hit on tip of tongue. Honey, nutty flavor. Malty, toasted grain character, slightly sweet.
Bitterness builds quickly, balanced by warm caramel, nutty-brown with subtle sweetness in a creamy body.
Bitterness gives an awakening feeling along with malty flavor in a creamy body. Almost waxy sensation.
Finish is sharp and distinct bitterness; overlapped with caramelized sweet brownness.

Nothing goes better with salty bar snacks then the deliciously bitter snap of the Original Pilsner, from Pils itself.

This beer is hard to describe. Looks like clover honey in a glass. It’s very carbonated and sparkly. Tastes bitter somehow creamy, and splats on the back of the tongue.
- Characteristics: bitter honey light sparkly

Urquell has the distinctive pilsener flavor, but it’s not as bitter as some German pilseners.
They have this on tap in my favorite bar in Rotterdam, and I always choose it over the more bland-tasting Heineken.
- Characteristics: bitter golden light

This is one of the worst “good” beers I’ve ever had. It smells like skunk and you belch up the same smell/taste all night.
- Characteristics: skunky

They have this on tap at Lumen during the winter and it is an unusual and (unusually) great staple beer for during a movie.

A wonderful summer beer best enjoyed outside. It’s taste begins with a clean, honey which is then followed by a bit of a bitter snap.
The beer is a little complex and knows it, but he’s still cool if you’re not.
- Characteristics: bitter honey light

Slight bitter hoppiness, but would need a lot more bitterness to make me happy. Otherwise, clean and refreshing… could possibly drink it very cold on a hot summer day.
