This beer was heavenly out of a bottle, I can only imagine how good it must be straight from the tap. Dark, crisp, and flavorful.

This beer is incredibly flavorful for a dark beer. I’m not sure how much I like the almost nutty flavor, but at least it’s there. It also seems more carbonated than most beers - almost like a soda, but not quite.
- Characteristics: carbonated dark nutty

Surprisingly light body for a dark beer. Nice carbonation and very smooth. First tried this at a local Brazillian restaurant.

Amazingly, this “black” beer had the feel of a much lighter beer. Even my wife (not a dark beer lover) enjoyed the taste.
I drank this as part of a 10-beer “Beers of the World” set.

It’s very smooth and easy to drink, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. It’s vaguely sweet, vaguely coffee-like - all rather muted, and way lighter than I was expecting.
- Characteristics: coffee smooth sweet
